# ApeX Omni Trading Fees

ApeX Omni (perp DEX by ApeX Exchange) uses a maker/taker fee model on perpetual contracts. Base retail rates are **0.020% maker** and **0.050% taker**. VIP discounts and market-maker rebates can reduce fees further — down to **0% maker** for top VIP traders and **−0.005% maker** for top market makers. Gas fees on Omni Perps are **0**.

Rates below are percentages of notional. Meeting **either** the 14-day Omni Perps volume **or** the APEX+esAPEX staking threshold qualifies for a VIP trader tier (VIP 5–7 are volume-only). Grid bot and Vault volume do **not** count toward VIP volume and use standardized rates outside these discounts.

- VIP level is recalculated daily at **07:00 UTC** and applied by **08:00 UTC**.
- Referral / affiliate discounts do **not** stack with VIP — the most favorable single rate applies.
- Users who qualify for both VIP trader discounts and MM rebates receive a lower taker rate **and** a negative maker rate.
