Maker

A maker order adds liquidity by resting on the book until matched (for example a limit order that does not take the best opposite price immediately).

Maker fees are often lower than taker fees because makers improve book depth. ApeX Omni VIP programs can reduce maker fees to 0% and market-maker tiers may earn rebates.
