Announcement: Suspension of USDT (Bridged) Deposits and Withdrawals on the Mantle Chain

Summary

Mantle Network has changed its USDT token standard. The original Mantle USDT has been renamed to USDT (Bridged), and Mantle now recognizes USDT0, which is minted by bridging from Ethereum Mainnet, as the only official USDT across its ecosystem. Major platforms, including Bybit, have already transitioned fully to USDT0. This creates a real risk for users: depositing USDT (Bridged) to a platform that only supports USDT0 may result in funds not being credited, and recovering those assets can cost roughly 200 USD in fees. To protect user assets and stay aligned with the evolving ecosystem, ApeX Omni is suspending deposits and withdrawals of USDT (Bridged) on the Mantle network. Existing holders are not stranded. You can still withdraw these assets through any network ApeX Omni supports, and if you want to hold official USDT0, you can withdraw to Ethereum and convert through the Mantle official bridge.

What Changed on the Mantle Network

Mantle has updated the USDT standard inside its ecosystem. The token previously known as Mantle USDT is now labeled USDT (Bridged). In its place, Mantle has designated USDT0 as the single official USDT. USDT0 is minted by bridging from Ethereum Mainnet, and it is the version the broader ecosystem is standardizing around. You can read Mantle's official announcement here.

Sending the Wrong Token Can Cost You

This is the part that matters for your funds. Major platforms have already completed the switch. Bybit, for example, now supports USDT0 only. If you send USDT (Bridged) to a platform that expects USDT0, your deposit may not be credited. Getting those funds back is not simple, and recovery fees can run to about 200 USD. The safest move is to stop sending USDT (Bridged) across networks that no longer recognize it.

ApeX Omni Is Adjusting Mantle USDT (Bridged) Services

To keep user assets safe and align with the new standard, ApeX Omni is making two changes:

  1. Service suspension: We are discontinuing deposit and withdrawal services for USDT (Bridged) on the Mantle network.

  2. Withdrawals for existing assets: If you previously deposited USDT (Bridged) via the Mantle network, you can still withdraw your assets normally through any network ApeX Omni supports.

How to Hold Official USDT0

If you want to hold USDT0, the official Mantle ecosystem stablecoin, choose the Ethereum network when you withdraw. Once your funds are on Ethereum, use the Mantle official bridge to convert your Ethereum-based USDT into USDT0 on the Mantle network. This keeps your stablecoin compatible with platforms that have already moved to USDT0.
